Lauren Paulson is in her 3rd and final year at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She is studying Mechanical Engineering while minoring in Aerospace Engineering. She has always loved math, science, and problem-solving. But her interest in Aerospace started when she was selected to go to a NASA young astronauts day in middle school.

At Georgia Tech Lauren has served as the Vice President of Membership of the Yellow Jacket Flying Club. Through this club, Lauren has pursued flight training toward a private pilot license. Lauren also serves on the Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering Student Advisory Committee and is an Invention Studio Prototyping Instructor.

Lauren has previously interned at BlackRock through the Hallac Scholars program where she worked to create a data quality visualization tool. Lauren has also worked part-time as a Physics 2 Teaching Assistant at Georgia Tech and as a Middle and Highschool math and science tutor. Lauren has also worked part-time as a machine operator at the McKinsey Digital Capability Center where she worked to create a system to send alerts about machine maintenance. Finally, Lauren has done research in structural analysis and aeroelasticity under professors in the Aerospace engineering department at Georgia Tech.

Lauren is also very active in Georgia Tech’s student-run theatre (DramaTech) where she serves as the head of marketing for the improv troupe and has acted and assisted in directing many shows. She also loves running, scuba diving, sailing, and traveling.

Lauren is excited to intern with Draper in Cambridge, MA this summer!
