Sala Ba is a junior at Stanford University studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Electrical Engineering. She is a Patti Grace Smith Fellow in the class of 2022 and is thrilled to be returning to Blue Origin this summer! Outside of school, Sala is a math tutor, the 2020 Cards Against Humanity Science Ambassador, and a member of her school’s NSBE chapter. She is passionate about making STEM more accessible to minorities and closing societal gaps through education. In her free time, Sala likes to do number puzzles, watch TikToks, and dance in a movement band at Stanford called “Chocolate Heads.”
