Nithya Koneru is a sophomore at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign majoring in Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Computer Science. Nithya is greatly interested in autonomous space robotics, hoping to one day work on projects like the Perseverance Mars Rover. She is currently involved in robotics research on campus, working at a couple labs on campus and hopes to dive deeper into the realms of motion planning and control systems. In her free time, Nithya likes to make new oatmeal recipes and eat them, binge-read, and strength train. As a Brooke Owens Fellow, she is thrilled to be interning at JHU APL this summer.
