Michaela Hemming is a PhD student at The University of Alabama in Huntsville in Aerospace Systems. Her research work is NSTGRO funded and is on injector development for rotating detonation rocket engines. While working on her degree, she serves as the Technical Development Chair for Women in Aeronautics and Astronautics and as a volunteer for the AIAA Tennessee Valley Section Outreach Committee.

In her free time, Michaela enjoys baking, crocheting, sewing, and hiking with her dogs.
