Eva Luna Reiling was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and grew up in Arlington, VA. She is a dual-degree student at Emory University and the Georgia Institute of Technology, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Strategy & Management Consulting at Goizueta Business School. After her third year at Emory, she will head to Georgia Institute of Technology to pursue an Industrial Engineering degree.
Eva's interest in the aerospace industry began when she was little and would watch “the future of flight” videos on virtual models of airplanes that different companies were planning to release in the future. During her high school’s Senior Experience Program, she interned at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. While there, Eva shadowed 15 NASA employees who were all working on the James Webb Space Telescope. Interning at NASA gave her a first-hand experience of working in the aerospace industry.
After college, Eva's goal is to one day start her own business in the aerospace industry. From working at six different restaurants, she has experienced many different management styles that she believes she could one day adapt to her own business. She also gained consulting experience by being part of TAMID, a program that connects American business students to the growing Israeli entrepreneurial scene. This year, Eva was appointed the position of Project Manager, and is personally working with Botanima, a CBD Israeli skincare startup. Eva and her team research the best locations in the United States for Botanima to sell CBD skincare products to baby boomers.
Eva's favorite activity on campus is being a tour guide for Emory and hosting prospective students. She is also a half marathon runner, so she loves to explore new places and go on long runs in her free time.
As a Brooke Owens Fellow, Eva will be working as a Space Systems Intern at Airbus Americas U.S. Space and Defence, Inc. in Herndon, Virginia.
