Laurie J. Abadie
Laurie is the lead for Artemis Initial Capabilities in NASA’s Human Research Program. In this role she collaborates with Artemis-supporting programs, crew health and medical teams, and international partners to develop a comprehensive, Mars-forward research strategy that implements the goals and objectives of the Human Research Program. Prior to that, she was a lead International Space Station flight controller in Mission Control for the Flight Design & Dynamics division. She helped pave the way for commercial vehicles rendezvousing with the station. Laurie holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo, a Master of Science in Space & Planetary Sciences from the University of Arkansas, and a Master of Engineering in Space Operations from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, and has worked at NASA for 20 years.
