From a young age, Heavyn Porter looked to the sky with curiosity, sparking her passion for invention and innovation. Now pursuing a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, Heavyn has distinguished herself through her participation in NASA’s Community College Aerospace Scholars program, where she led engineering projects and presented research at NASA Langley Research Center. She has developed expertise in 3D modeling, programming, and project management, using tools like AutoCAD, Inventor Pro, and Python. Driven by a commitment to continuous learning and problem-solving, Heavyn tackles complex challenges with creativity and perseverance. She aspires to advance technology while making a meaningful impact on the world and inspiring others to confidently pursue their passions, even in the face of adversity.
