My name is Colette Fisher and I’m a junior at Stanford University studying Mechanical Engineering. Throughout my work as a lab assistant for Stanford’s FXLab, I’ve been contributing to experiments to build more predictive fuel ignition models. In my role as engineering intern for the land evolution modeling team at the NASA Ames Research Center, I was able to create simulations from scratch that would inform the ground-penetrating radar tool REASON on the Europa Clipper. Throughout my academic career I’ve honed my skills in order to tackle critical projects in aerospace. Outside of the classroom, I play on Stanford’s club soccer team and club polo team!
I’m extremely grateful for the Brooke Owens fellowship where I’m able to meet such inspiring and amazing people in the industry. I’m very excited to be working at the Aerospace Corporation this summer as a Reliability and Statistics Intern this summer!
