Brooke Owens Fellow, Class of 2019
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Aeronautical Science, '20
Host Institution: Air Line Pilots Association
Mentor: Stephanie Luongo
Alyssa is majoring in Aeronautical Science at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Alyssa rode her first airplane when she was five years old. Ever since then, she has had "the aviation bug". She has a passion for all things aviation and always feels at home in airports.
Currently, Alyssa is working on her Commercial Single-Engine rating. She absolutely loves flying. She is also a part of Embry-Riddle's Women's Rowing Team. The team has recently become a part of NCAA Division 2. Previously it was a club team, and she has been helping the transition from club to NCAA division 2. She is also the women's rowing team representative for the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, which meets once a month to discuss everything going on within all the athletic teams at Embry-Riddle. Alyssa also works as a resident adviser, with this being her second year. She has been an RA for both freshman and upperclassman. Alyssa enjoys being an RA as she is able to meet many new people in both her residents and fellow co-workers.
As a Brooke Owens Fellow, Alyssa interned at Air Line Pilots Association.
